CONVOCATORIA PÚBLICA SELECCIÓN DE PROYECTOS EXPOSITIVOS 2012
I. CONVOCATORIA
El Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas llama a concurso de proyectos expositivos para su programación 2012. Se seleccionarán: 2 (dos) proyectos Sala XL 5 (cinco) proyectos Sala M 5 (cinco) proyectos XS Los mismos se expondrán a lo largo del año 2012, en fechas a coordinar con la Dirección del Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas.
II. OBJETIVOS
El Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas apuesta en esta etapa a los objetivos de excelencia e igualdad planteados por el Departamento de Cultura de la Intendencia de Montevideo. En el presente llamado se plantean metas y exigencias de mayor rigor y profesionalismo a las propuestas presentadas, dentro de una política general de estímulo a la diversidad en la producción artística contemporánea. La presencia de jurados de reconocimiento internacional, tiene como fin incorporar una mirada que aporte nuevos elementos a la valoración de la producción artística que se presente a esta convocatoria, en un contexto de igualdad de oportunidades y democratización del acceso de los espacios de exposición. A su vez el planteo de realización de actividades conexas a las exposiciones, apunta a generar un espacio de encuentro, intercambio y reflexión entre los distintos actores vinculados al arte, así como a promover la comprensión y difusión del arte contemporáneo.
III. PARTICIPANTES
Podrán participar artistas uruguayos y extranjeros – sin requerimiento de residencia en el país – mayores de 18 (dieciocho) años. Las obras podrán ser realizadas por más de un autor, debiendo completar en ese caso la ficha de inscripción, un representante del equipo responsable del proyecto. Se valorará positivamente, la competencia de curadores, teóricos y gestores que aporten elementos significativos a las propuestas, tanto en su etapa de presentación como de concreción. Quedarán excluidos de la presente convocatoria, artistas que tengan vínculos de consanguinidad o contractuales con los miembros del jurado, con el Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas y/o el Departamento de Cultura de la Intendencia de Montevideo, así como con los seleccionados en la Convocatoria 2010.
IV. INSCRIPCIÓN
Los participantes podrán presentar sus proyectos personalmente desde el 14 al 16 de diciembre de 2011, de 10:00 a 18:00 hs., en el Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas, Plaza Fabini, ubicado en Avda. 18 de Julio esquina Julio Herrera y Obes, Código Postal 11300, Montevideo – Uruguay. El sello postal no podrá ser posterior a la fecha del cierre de inscripción.
V. PRESENTACIÓN
Las participantes deberán completar un formulario al momento de la inscripción y adjuntar en forma impresa y digital (CD o DVD) textos e imágenes descriptivas del proyecto detallando: Descripción del proyecto (1500 caracteres) y la sala del Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas que se requiere para el desarrollo del mismo (XL, M o XS). Información fotográfica o de video de las obras que integran la propuesta y/o archivos interactivos en los casos en que el proyecto lo requiera y el artista lo considere necesario. Asimismo se presentarán bocetos, esquema de montaje, plantas con dimensiones indicadas y todo lo que haga a la comprensión del proyecto expositivo. Se indicará el equipamiento técnico necesario que el proyecto requiera para su montaje. Currículum Vitae de los participantes del proyecto, con datos personales, formación, premios y producción artística (1000 caracteres). Propuesta de actividad conexa al proyecto -charla, mesa redonda, acción, etc. – en el sentido de fortalecer la comprensión y difusión del mismo. Compromiso de montaje del proyecto, cumpliendo en su totalidad la propuesta presentada desde el inicio y hasta la finalización del período a acordar con el Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas, en caso de que éste resulte seleccionado. Todo el material deberá ser presentado en forma impresa y digital (CD o DVD), por triplicado, en respectivos sobres cerrados. En las carpetas presentadas, no podrá haber ningún tipo de elemento original (obra o documentación); debiendo ser todo el material presentado duplicado de los originales. En el caso de los envíos por correo postal, se deberá agregar una carta firmada por el responsable del proyecto, especificando que los materiales enviados son copia de los originales. Los participantes declaran exonerar a la Intendencia de Montevideo, por todo daño, perjuicio, pérdida o hurto que se pueda ocasionar a las obras y/o materiales presentados, por funcionarios autorizados o terceros. Los trabajos presentados podrán ser retirados personalmente con el recibo correspondiente, teniendo un plazo máximo de 30 (treinta) días corridos a partir de la fecha del fallo de la presente convocatoria. Concluido el mismo, los trabajos no retirados serán procesados por la Administración por las vías normales de eliminación documental. No se aceptarán proyectos que no cumplan con todos los requisitos especificados.
VI. JURADO
El jurado estará integrado por un representante del Departamento de Cultura de la Intendencia de Montevideo, un representante de la Dirección del Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas y un representante seleccionado por los participantes de la convocatoria. El fallo del jurado será inapelable y tendrá potestades de decidir toda situación imprevista en estas bases. La selección se resolverá por mayoría simple y el fallo se emitirá a los 30 (treinta) días de finalizada la fecha de la presentación de las propuestas. Para la selección del tercer miembro del jurado, el participante deberá adjuntar al proyecto presentado, un sobre carta identificado con la palabra “VOTO” que contendrá el nombre propuesto. El tercer jurado propuesto por los participantes se descalificará como tal si se hubiera presentado como participante.
VII. RESULTADO DE LA CONVOCATORIA
Los resultados de la selección, serán comunicados a la prensa, a los responsables de todos los proyectos presentados y estarán disponibles para su consulta en el sitio web http://subte.org.uy.
VIII. DERECHOS DE REPRODUCCIÓN
Los participantes desde el momento de presentación de los proyectos aceptan no tener derecho a reclamación patrimonial de especie alguna contra la Intendencia de Montevideo, en virtud de los derechos de reproducción cedidos sin perjuicio del derecho moral que les corresponde de solicitar el reconocimiento de la paternidad intelectual sobre la creación artística.
IX. PREMIOS
En cada caso el Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas, contribuirá a la producción de las exposiciones y pondrá a disposición de los proyectos seleccionados, los recursos humanos y materiales con los que cuenta la institución. La Dirección del Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas acompañará el proceso de desarrollo de las distintas exposiciones que surjan de la presente convocatoria, hasta su resolución final. Los responsables de los proyectos seleccionados deberán cumplir con los plazos de entrega resueltos por la Dirección del Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas, de todo el material estipulado, mediante un acta de compromiso firmada, donde se detallarán las pautas de trabajo y las normativas de coordinación de montaje e imagen institucional en piezas gráficas. Los premios atribuidos en cada caso serán: SALA XL dos proyectos $ 45.000,00 cada uno (pesos uruguayos cuarenta y cinco mil) SALA M cinco proyectos $ 20.000,00 cada uno (pesos uruguayos veinte mil) SALA XS cinco proyectos $ 10.000,00 cada uno (pesos uruguayos diez mil)
X. DIFUSIÓN Y ACEPTACIÓN DE LAS BASES
Las bases de la presente convocatoria se difundirán a través de la prensa y se encontrarán disponibles, al igual que la ficha de inscripción, en la página web del Centro de Exposiciones (SUBTE) y otras Salas http://subte.org.uy. Los participantes darán por aceptadas las condiciones establecidas en las bases por el solo hecho de presentarse y completar la ficha de inscripción, así como por la resolución de cualquier imprevisto no contemplado por éstas y que adopte el jurado.
