“Un gestor cultural es un creativo que imagina y diseña novedosos canales de expresión para las artes y otras expresiones” …
Expositores latinoamericanos se darán cita los próximos 9 y 10 de marzo, 2012 en San José.
Evento consta de una conferencia de prensa, dos talleres y charlas.
Una aproximación crítica a sus enfoques, experiencias y retos.
Este encuentro sobre la gestión cultural en Latinoamérica, busca brindar un espacio de discusión crítica y actualización que contribuya a impulsar e innovar este quehacer social en Costa Rica así como su inclusión y desarrollo en los programas de estudio de las universidades y en la sociedad costarricense.
Con este fin reunirá a diferentes expositores latinoamericanos, para posicionar y discutir el rol de la gestión y del gestor cultural en distintos países y de generar un intercambio de experiencias y aprendizajes entre Costa Rica y el Cono sur, para afianzar y actualizar las redes de cooperación entre instituciones, universidades y proyectos o gestores independientes.
Dos grandes secciones tiene este encuentro: conferencias sobre los diversos enfoques y experiencias en la región: un conjunto de charlas prácticas para diversos tomadores de decisión del ámbito de la gestión cultural publica y privada.
Encuentro internacional busca promover y posicionar la gestión cultural en el país
Con el objetivo de impulsar el rol del gestor cultural en Costa Rica, expositores nacionales e internacionales compartirán sus experiencias en el primer “Encuentro Internacional de Gestión Cultural en Latinoamérica: Una aproximación crítica a sus enfoques, experiencias y retos”.
Dentro de los expositores invitados a Superficies Culturales se encuentran críticos de arte, curadores con vasta experiencia así como artistas y gestores culturales enfocados al diseño de estrategias para la difusión de proyectos y colecciones de arte.
Wustavo Quiroga y Mariana Mattar compartirán su experiencia en la creación de MEC (Museo en Construcción de Mendoza, Argentina). Jorge Sepúlveda e Ilze Petroni expondrán sobre el proyecto Curatoria Forense y sus vivencias como críticos y académicos del arte. Gerardo D. Neugovsen hablará sobre el fortalecimiento de la industria musical en Panamá. León Repetur disertará sobre la gestión y las políticas culturales.
Asimismo se contará con la presencia de conferencistas nacionales como Karen Clachar, responsable del proyecto Valoarte, Luis Porras y Guadalupe Urbina, de Proyecto Jirondai, y Erick Fernández, creador y editor del blog Chepestyle.com.
Para Sebastián González, gestor cultural argentino radicado en Costa Rica y miembro del grupo organizador, “es importante para el desarrollo de la sociedad actual se reconozca la labor del gestor cultural, como un nexo entre: Cultura, Sociedad, Empresa y Gobierno“.
González espera que con este encuentro las empresas ubicadas en el país incorporen el arte y la cultura a sus esfuerzos corporativos, campos en los cuales también se hacen necesarios profesionales no
solo con conocimientos de arte, sino con formación y visión empresarial. Actualmente ninguna universidad brinda esta carrera y la incorporación de este quehacer en los programas de estudio universitarios es otro de los objetivos que persigue Superficies Culturales.
El encuentro cuenta con el respaldo de UNESCO, Ministerio de Cultura y Juventud (Costa Rica), Fundación COPPLA (Argentina), Curatoría Forense (Chile), Fundación del Interior (Argentina), Fundación MarreTerra (España).
